SALLY Games will be held in 2023
The SALLY Games is a recreational one-day women’s soccer tournament, for ages 18 and over. We have open, over 30, over 40 and over 50, and over 60 divisions, depending on the number of teams that apply.
The mission of the SALLY Games is to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and to educate the women’s soccer community about leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other cancers. We hope to achieve this mission by hosting a great soccer tournament and donating the registration fees, snack bar profits and raffle proceeds to The Leukemia Society to advance research and provide patient services. We hope that the tournament provides all participants and spectators with a day of awareness, camaraderie, and competitive soccer.
The SALLY Games was founded in 2001 by a small group of Team in
Training (Team) marathoners as an innovative method to reach individual
fundraising goals set by Team. But it takes a village to run a
tournament. Over the years, most members of the committee do not
participate in Team and volunteer their time and energy to this effort.
We have many members participating on the cycle and marathon teams. Go
Team!
The mission of the SALLY Games is to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (“LLS”). LLS is a not-for-profit, voluntary health organization whose mission is to cure leukemia and its related cancers — lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin’s disease — and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS provides funding for research, public and professional education, patient aid and community service programs.
